
Began to be interested in environmental issues and women after completing her undergraduate studies in the Department of Social Welfare, Bengkulu University. After graduating, Meike became a social worker with her first activity at WALHI Bengkulu as a campaign manager for women’s rights around plantations and mining. Later, she became a Gender and Social Inclusion Staff at the Root Foundation. She began to be concerned about disaster and energy issues when she joined the Women’s and Mining Work Team.
