The Facts of Environmental Damage Behind the Initial IPO of a Harita Group Subsidiary
The people of Obi Island and environmental activists carried out a peaceful demonstration to invite the public to find out the track record of environmental and humanitarian crimes from the Harita Group group of companies during the initial public offering of PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NKCL) at the Indonesia Stock Exchange office, Jakarta, Wednesday (12/ 4/2023). In their action, they also submitted document reports containing facts related to Harita Group company operations which had damaged water sources, the sea coast of South Halmahera, people’s living spaces, and the social conflicts that occurred.
